| Dear Feministas Unidas, Inc. colleagues: It’s hard to believe that fall semester is rapidly coming to a close. With the end of this semester, we look forward to next semester as well as the upcoming Modern Languages Association convention in Philadelphia (5-8 January 2017). Please join us on Saturday, January 7th at 10:15 a.m. in room 407 of the Philadelphia Marriott for the Feministas Unidas, Inc. panel, “Cross-Dressing Frames: Engendering Visual Narratives and Performing Postfeminist Consciousness.” This panel, presided over by incoming president Hilda Chacon, will feature presentations by Elena Castro, Traci Roberts-Camps, David Francis and Melissa Huerta. Following the panel, all members are invited to take part in the Feministas Unidas, Inc. annual meeting where we will discuss changing our current bylaws. Please look over the original bylaws and the proposed bylaws at your earliest convenience (attached to this message). You can either wait to discuss your ideas at the annual meeting or please feel free to e-mail me (rulland@nmu.edu) or Hilda (hchacon6@naz.edu) beforehand. We look forward to hearing your ideas.
